City Council Meeting
September 2, 2014

St. Clair Shores City Hall is located next to the library at the corner of 11 Mile and Jefferson.

BEFORE the vote, residents are requested to arrive early to sign up to speak for 2 minutes on the City Manager Contract agenda item.



  August 18, 2014 council meeting votes:

  3 votes for conducting interviews:
     --Councilman Chris Vitale
     --Councilman Anthony Tiseo
     --Mayor Protem Candice Rusie

  4 votes for NOT doing interviews:
     --Councilman John Caron
     --Councilman Ron Frederick
     --Councilman Peter Rubino
     --Mayor Kip Walby

Residents of St. Clair Shores Michigan have learned some very important lessons from their last 2 City Managers. 

The last City Manager left after only 9 months of being on the job. 

Instead of conducting a FREE City Manager search and interview process, there was a rushed 4 to 3 vote of council to offer the job to the Interim City Manager Mike Smith.

Residents are signing a petition requesting City Council to have open interviews, including Mike Smith, so that they can choose the best candidate for this very important job.
